Well hello there.
I'm a fibre artist in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia specializing in needle felting (the process of binding fibres together with barbed needles) and wet felting (agitating wool fibres with soap and water) to create textiles you can hang on your wall. Some people create 3D objects, but I prefer making pieces that read like paintings... wool paintings. I use wool roving - the majority of it sheared and dyed in Nova Scotia - and extras like beads, pearls, ribbons, embroidery thread, little treasures I find on the beach, and other doo-dads I collect here and there.
Like what you see?
Part of what I love about needle felting is that it's impossible to imitate a work - I can, however, come pretty close. If something here catches your eye, or if you've got a particular idea in mind, don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always open to creating custom pieces of any size and subject matter.
So you're crafty, eh?
I am a firm believer that nothing is original and art should inspire art, so I share my portfolio with you openly and freely. You're welcome to use my works for your own inspiration and share, share, share them as widely as you wish (just kindly credit me on social media, if you don't mind - I'm @aquamarinetangerine on Instagram). If you are a fellow felter, I'd love to see what you're up to - get in touch, or tag me on social.
